Good Music vs. Bad

Anyone can make music, what determines whether the artist is bad or not is the quality of their sound. Today I am going to compare and contrast what I believe is good music, and what I believe is bad. I'm going to start with one of my favorite songs. The song "U" by Kendrick Lamar is by far one of the best pieces of art that has ever peaked my interests. This is for the simple fact that it is a representation of who he is and what he thinks about when he is alone. During the first part of the song he repeats the word, "loving you is complicated." He is almost placing blame on somebody i believe, for being the reason why his family isn't what it used to be and for losing a loved one. Then there is an intermission/skit where he is in a hotel room thinking about ending his life when a cleaning lady interrupts him. The second part of the song is next and Kendrick gives the scapegoat of the story a piece of his mind. This song has tons of conceptual quality, and good music is the kind that makes you think.

I can't talk about the good without the bad though, so here goes. When it comes to poor quality music, the award must go to lil yachty and all of the music he makes. For example, his song Minnesota. A song that has no meaning that is hard to understand because of his pronunciation.
